老人日照中心提供短期夜間留宿

失智老年人口愈來愈多。據統計，台北市需要長期照顧服務需求約6萬3千人，但7成長者不願住安養院。台北市社會局12月起，開辦「小規模多機能服務」，提供日間照顧、短期夜間留宿等彈性化的居家服務，包括聖若瑟失智老人養護中心、林老人服務暨日間照顧中心，以及內湖區老人日間照顧服務中心，率先啟用。

7成老人盼在家終老

根據103年台北市老人生活狀況調查顯示，近7成長者無法接受住到任何一種安養或長期照顧機構。天主教失智老人基金會副執行長陳麗華表示，多數長輩仍希望能在熟悉的社區環境裡終老，而大部分的照顧責任則由家屬承擔，有的選擇送長者到老人日間照顧中心，或申請使用居家服務員到府協助。

提供短期夜間留宿

陳麗華指出，以往長輩若想要使用長期照顧的各項服務項目，如日間照顧、居家服務，以及喘息服務等，都由不同單位提供，而「聖若瑟失智老人養護中心」則是以日間照顧為基礎，結合辦理日間照顧、短期夜間留宿，讓長輩能在熟悉的環境、服務人員協助下，彈性運用。

3間老人日照中心試辦

台北市社會局局長許立民表示，今年12月開始，除了萬華區私立聖若瑟失智老人養護中心，還包括士林區士林老人服務暨日間照顧中心，以及內湖區老人日間照顧服務中心等3間日間照顧中心，開始試辦推動小規模多機能服務，增設可容納4人的臨時住宿空間，每位長輩星期一至五至多可留宿3天，需於14天前提前預約。
